FAQ's
WHAT IS CBD?
CBD (short for Cannabidiol) is one of the most studied cannabinoids, second only to THC. Being non- psychoactive, CBD provides numerous health benefits without THC's intoxicating effects. CBD promotes restful sleep, provides relief, supports normal neurological function, improves mood, combats stress, supports normal cartilage and joint function, relieves occasional nausea, enhances relaxation, support the immune system and more.
An organic product, CBD is a safer, natural alternative to synthetic options with little to no side effects. In hemp's multi-thousand-year history, there has never been a recorded fatality.
WHAT IS THE ENDOCANNIBINOID SYSTEM?
The Endocannabinoid System (ECS) is a recently discovered group of endogenous cannabinoid receptors found throughout the body. The endocannabinoid receptors that make up the ECS are located in our Central Nervous System (CNS), Peripheral Nervous System (PNS) and Immune System. Our brains contain the heaviest concentration of cannabinoid receptors, but there's no shortage of them in our organs, tissues, glands and more. The saturation of ECS receptors throughout our body is part of why CBD has so many uses and is so effective.
WHAT IS A CANNABINOID?
Cannabinoids are organic molecules naturally produced by hemp and cannabis which activate two of the body*s central nervous system receptors: CB1 and CB2.” CB1 receptors are primarily located in the brain, while CB2 receptors are spread throughout the rest of the body. Each of the 100+ known cannabinoids have unique receptor interactions, producing individual results. Research has also shown that cannabinoids' benefits multiply when used together, producing what is called the “entourage effect.”
*More information on receptor activation and their effects on the body should be researched through reliable sources. We cannot provide health claims.
HOW MUCH CBD SHOULD I TAKE?
A number of factors determine your ideal CBD serving. This can include your weight, metabolism, and genetics, among others. Because each individual's endocannabinoid system is unique, some people may only require a small amount of CBD to receive their desired benefits, while others may require much higher serving to experience the same effects. If this is your first time trying CBD, we recommend starting with a small serving of only 10-25mg and increasing it later if desired. CBD can take time to work, so wait up to 2 hours before ingesting another serving. Some people may require up to 100-150mg per serving or more of CBD to get the desired effect.
IS CBD PSYCHOACTIVE?
CBD does not cause the mind-altering “high” that is often sought out amongst cannabis consumers. It's another compound, tetrahydrocannabinol (THC) that causes the mind-altering effects. It is for this reason that CBD is not considered psychoactive. However, the compound does have an effect on the brain and your mood.
WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN CBD EXTRACTS AND HEMP OIL EXTRACTS?
Many retailers sell "hemp oil," but these products should not to be confused with CBD. Hemp oil, or hemp seed oil, is extracted by pressing the seeds of the hemp plant. While hemp oil does possess a number of health-related benefits, hemp seeds do not contain any cannabinoids, so products labeled as "hemp oil" do not provide the reported benefits of CBD, or other cannabinoid-based products.
IS CBD LEGAL?
Yes. CBD that is extracted from Industrial Registered Hemp and contains less than 0.3% THC is legal in all 50 states and over 40 countries around the world. You do not need a prescription to use it.
IF I TAKE CBD WILL I FAIL A DRUG TEST?
Typical UA analysis tests are for THC and not CBD. While some of our products contain THC (less than 0.3o/oTHC), which is legal and very low, you could still possibly fail a drug test. If this is a concern, ask about CBD products that contain 0 THC.
CAN I TAKE TOO MUCH CBD?
CBD is completely non-toxic. We have never heard of anyone ever overdosing on CBD. However, extremely large servings of CBD could cause drowsiness.
WHAT ARE TERPENES?
Terpenes are a class of volatile hydrocarbon compounds produced in the flower clusters of hemp and cannabis plants. Terpenes are naturally present in plants and they contribute to the plants' unique taste, smell and color. Terpenes have been utilized by humans for millennia in a healing modality Lnown as aromatherapy. Terpenes are recognized as safe for human consumption by the Food and Drug Association and are used in a wide variety of food and cosmetic products.
HOW DO YOU EXTRACT CBD FROM THE HEMP PLANT?
The extraction and purification process is what sets products apart. Products that are made using a proprietary process which includes a CO2 extraction, create a pure, clean, quality oil that is safe and effective. Being the most reliable extraction method, it uses carbon dioxide (CO2) under high pressure and extremely low temperatures to pull out as much CBD as possible, without introducing contaminants. This process ensures high quality and uses no harsh solvents or chemicals.
WHAT IS FULL SPECTRUM CBD OIL
Full Spectrum CBD Oil is CBD oil that is extracted from the hemp plant with all of the other com- pounds present .in the plant remaining. Meaning, it has not gone through the refinement process necessary to isolate the CBD. Full Spectrum CBD includes terpenes, flavonoids, and other cannabinoids to help create a full body or "entourage effect."
What is kava root?
Kava root comes from the kava-kava is a plant that is in the pepper plant family. It originates from the South Pacific Islands. Kava root is harvested, dried and ground into a powder that is used to make a kava root tea.
Kava is all natural and has been a popular drink throughout Polynesia and Melanesia for centuries. It is gaining popularity in the US as an all natural way to ease stress and wind down at the end of the day. In the South Pacific, drinking kava is an integral part of traditional religious and cultural ceremonies and important village social occasions. Historically kava was also prepared and drank for medicinal purposes.
What does kava do?
The Latin name for the kava kava plant is Piper Methysticum which translates as intoxicating pepper. The active ingredients in kava, known as kavalactones, interact with the limbic system of the brain. This includes the amygdala, the part of the limbic system that regulates emotions. As a result, Kava is well known to have a relaxing effect on the mind and body.
How do you make kava tea?
Traditionally, you prepare a drink of kava like you might brew a tea. Add the kava root powder to a straining bag, for example, a muslin cloth. It doesn’t matter what kind of straining bag you use. Sometimes even women’s panty hose are used as straining bags. Then steep the bag in warm water to begin a kava tea brew. The difference between kava root tea and regular tea is the kneading required to extract the good stuff from the root; the bag is kneaded in the water. This releases the active ingredients and turns the water a muddy brown color. Kava doesn’t look, or even taste good – but it feels good!
Continue the kneading process until the tea is brewed. The surface of the water will be slightly shining. And all that is left in the straining bag are the coarse fibers of the root. These are either discarded or set aside for a subsequent rinsing and kneading, (a second wash), to create a weaker second brew.
How does kava make you feel?
When you drink a good quality, potent kava the first thing you feel is your lips and mouth going slightly numb. This is normal. One of the active ingredients in kava has analgesic effects. The numbing is a sign you are drinking a good kava.
When you drink kava you are likely to feel calm and content, a greater sense of wellbeing, happier and perhaps even euphoric. Any feelings of fear, worry, or stress will diminish. Any troublesome thoughts racing through your mind will slow down. Your muscles will start to relax, your body will start to feel heavy and eventually you may start to feel sleepy.
How kava makes you feel will also depend greatly on the variety, quality and type of kava you drink. Higher quality, fresher kava is more potent. The effects of drinking kava tea are also determined by the variety of kava and its’ mix of kavalactones or active ingredients. The mix of kavalactones is identified by a chemotype that given to each kava variety.
How long does kava take to kick-in?
You’ll generally start to feel it kick in 5-15 minutes after drinking a shell of kava root tea. The first sensation you’ll feel is a numbing of the lips, tongue and mouth. You can then expect to start feeling the mental and physical relaxation soon after that. It is recommended that you drink kava on an empty stomach to ensure you feel its effects. If you drink kava on a full stomach, the effects may not kick-in.
There are other reasons the effects of kava may not kick-in when you first start to drink it. Kava works with your body to produce its effects and sometimes that means your body will take time to adjust to receiving the active ingredients in the kava before it responds. In this instance, you may not feel the effects of kava until you’ve been drinking kava for a few days or even weeks consecutively. This is known as Reverse Tolerance.
How long do the effects of kava last?
How long the effects of kava root tea last depends on the variety of kava. A good heady kava variety should uplift your mood and make you feel happier within 30 minutes. The euphoric and uplifting effects of a good quality kava may last for anywhere between 1-3 hours while the stress relieving and relaxing effects may linger even longer.
Heavier varieties of kava have more prolonged effects. After a few hours you may start to feel sleepy as your muscles relax and your body starts to feel heavy.
How long the effects of kava last will also depend on how many kava drinks you have. You can have more than one serving size in a kava drinking session.
Is kava legal in the U.S?
Yes, kava is legal in the U.S and in most countries around the world. Kava is classified as an Herbal Supplement. Kava (Awa) is also an important part of Hawaiian culture and has been consumed for centuries by numerous South Pacific islanders including Hawaiians. Kava is drunk on ceremonial and social occasions and for medicinal purposes too.
Is kava root safe?
Kava, if consumed correctly, is very safe.
Is hemp the same as marijuana?
No—this is one of the most common questions we hear! While both hemp and marijuana come from the cannabis plant, they are not the same. Think of them as close relatives. Hemp contains very low levels of THC (the compound responsible for the “high”) and higher levels of CBD, which is known for promoting physical relaxation without affecting your mental clarity.
Marijuana, on the other hand, contains much higher levels of THC and produces psychoactive effects. In short, hemp is focused on wellness, balance, and relaxation—without the high.
Will legal THC make me anxious?
It can—but it really depends on the individual. Everyone’s body chemistry responds differently to THC. Some people feel calm and relaxed, similar to a light wine buzz, while others may experience anxiety if they take too much. The key is finding what works best for you.
We always recommend starting low and slow with your dosage and paying attention to how your body responds. If you’re prone to anxiety, choosing products that balance THC with CBD often creates a smoother, more comfortable experience. A good starting point is a 1:2 ratio, such as 2 mg THC with 4 mg CBD.
What kind of THC is legal in the U.S.?
Legally sold THC is typically derived from hemp and must contain less than 0.3% Delta-9 THC by dry weight. Thanks to the 2018 Farm Bill, hemp-derived THC products that meet this requirement are federally legal. However, marijuana-derived THC remains illegal at the federal level.
It’s also important to note that state laws can vary, so availability and legality may differ depending on where you live.
Is Delta-9 safe?
When used responsibly, Delta-9 is generally considered safe for most adults. It’s the primary psychoactive compound in cannabis, so it can produce a mild, wine-like buzz. As with anything, moderation is important—be mindful of your dose and personal tolerance. If you’re new to Delta-9 or have any health concerns, it’s always a good idea to check with your healthcare provider first.
Is Delta-9 legal?
Delta-9 THC is federally legal when it is derived from hemp and contains no more than 0.3% THC by dry weight, as outlined in the 2018 Farm Bill. However, state laws can differ, so it’s always important to check your local regulations to confirm what’s legal where you live.
What is Delta-9?
Delta-9 THC is the primary psychoactive compound in cannabis responsible for the “high” most people associate with marijuana. It occurs naturally in both marijuana and hemp, though it’s found in much higher concentrations in marijuana.
In federally legal hemp-derived products, Delta-9 is typically microdosed, which many people describe as producing a lighter, wine-like buzz rather than an intense cannabis high.
Can I fly with Delta-9?
Traveling with Delta-9 can be complicated. While federally legal hemp-derived Delta-9 products (containing less than 0.3% THC by dry weight) are technically permitted under federal law, TSA policies and state laws at your departure and destination can vary. To avoid any issues, it’s best to review the latest TSA guidelines, your airline’s policies, and the laws of the states you’re flying to and from before packing Delta-9 products.
Will Delta-9 get you stoned?
Yes—Delta-9 THC is the compound responsible for the classic cannabis “high.” It can create feelings of euphoria, relaxation, and sometimes even boost your appetite. If you’re new to Delta-9, we recommend starting low and slow with a microdose. At lower levels, many people describe the experience as more of a light, wine-like buzz rather than feeling fully “stoned.”
Is Delta-9 better than Delta-8?
Delta-9 THC is the primary psychoactive compound found naturally in cannabis and is known for its stronger, more euphoric effects. Delta-8 THC, which is typically derived from hemp through a conversion process, offers a milder and smoother experience with less intensity.
Neither is necessarily “better”—it really comes down to personal preference. If you’re looking for a more traditional, noticeable high, Delta-9 may be the right choice. If you prefer a lighter, more functional buzz, Delta-8 might be a better fit.
Can I pass a drug test if I use Delta-9?
Delta-9 THC can absolutely show up on a drug test. Most drug screenings look for THC metabolites in your system, not the source of the THC. If you have an upcoming test, it’s best to avoid using Delta-9 products altogether to prevent any risk of a positive result.
How long does Delta-9 stay in your system?
Delta-9 THC can remain in your system anywhere from a few days to several weeks. The exact length of time depends on factors like how often you use it, your metabolism, and your overall body chemistry. If you’re subject to THC testing, we do not recommend using any products that contain Delta-9.
What are functional mushrooms?
Functional mushrooms are non-psychoactive mushrooms used for wellness and nutritional support. They have been used for centuries in traditional medicine and are now commonly taken for things like focus, energy, immunity, stress, and overall balance.
Will functional mushrooms make me feel high?
No. Functional mushrooms do not contain psilocybin or any psychoactive compounds. They will not make you feel high, altered, or impaired.
How do I take functional mushrooms?
Functional mushrooms are available in gummies, capsules, powders, and tinctures. They can be taken daily, usually in the morning or with meals unless the product is designed for sleep or relaxation.
How long does it take to feel results?
Some people notice subtle benefits within a few days, but most see the best results after 1–3 weeks of consistent use.
Are functional mushrooms safe to take every day?
Yes. When used as directed, functional mushrooms are considered safe for daily use and are commonly taken long-term as a wellness supplement.
How are these mushrooms legal?
Our legal magic mushrooms are compliant with U.S. regulations because they contain no psilocybin or psilocin, the active compounds responsible for psychedelic effects in traditional magic mushrooms. Instead, these products are made with non detect mushroom extracts and other plant-inspired ingredients that deliver natural clarity, calm, and creativity without crossing any legal boundaries.
If there is no psilocybin, then are there no effects?
Even without psilocybin, our non detect mushrooms can still support focus, energy, and mood. This is possible because they contain naturally occurring tryptamines such as 4-Hydroxy-TMT, 5-Methoxy-NMT, and Baeocystin. These compounds may create similar functional effects to psilocybin while staying completely legal and safe to consume in the United States
How Long do effects last?
The effects of non detect mushrooms usually begin within 30 to 45 minutes after consumption and can last up to four to six hours, depending on factors like body weight, metabolism, and dosage.
